STR: U.S. hotel results for week ending 13 April
Helped by the total solar eclipse, U.S. hotel performance increased from the previous week, according to CoStar’s latest data through 13 April.
- Among the Top 25 Markets, Philadelphia reported the largest year-over-year increase in occupancy (+23.2% to 77.0%) and RevPAR (+45.7% to US$133.79). The market’s performance was driven by WrestleMania 40.
- Dallas, positioned along the path of the solar eclipse, posted the largest ADR lift (+20.1% to US$150.33) and the second-highest jump in RevPAR (+38.8% to US$117.50).
- The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in Tampa (-24.1% to US$135.79) and Orlando (-20.9% to US$134.48).
7-13 April 2024 (percentage change from comparable weeks in 2023):
- Occupancy: 65.8 (+2.8%)
- Average daily rate (ADR): US$160.20 (+2.9%)
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR): US$100.59 (+5.8%)
